Dr David Nash graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 1982 and worked in general dentistry for 14 years. He completed a Master of Dental Science specialising in orthodontics in 1995. David opened a practice in Benalla and then in Ivanhoe in 1996. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Orthodontists and participates in the 'Give a Smile' program.Â
David has a special interest in early intervention orthodontics and enjoys the opportunity to see young patients and resolve developmental problems. David’s interest in Japan and farming comes together in his wagyu herd. He enjoys spending time at the farm and is constantly working to improve the genetic basis of his wagyu herd.
Dr Linton Nash completed his dental degrees at Griffith University, Queensland. Following this he worked in general dentistry in Camberwell and Whittlesea. Linton completed his Orthodontic Masters at the National University of Singapore and was elected to the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh with a Membership in Orthodontics. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Orthodontists and participates in the 'Give a Smile' program.Â
Linton’s Masters thesis was a comparison of various methods of retention and he is passionate about the importance of retention to maintain treatment results. Linton was elected as an Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch Councillor in 2018 and on the ADAVB Constitution & Policy Committee and the Recent Graduates Committee.Â
He completed the 2018 Leadership Victoria Health Sector Leadership program and is an ADAVB Mentor as well as a Senior Orthodontist at Monash Hospital. In his free time Linton enjoys cycling (he has completed events like the 1200km Sydney to Melbourne Alpine ride), swimming and technology of all descriptions and is therefore the 'go to' tech man in the practice (and website developer).
Dr Lynette Chambers completed her Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Melbourne in 1982 and a Bachelor of Arts in 2000. She worked for a number of years in Carlton before establishing a general dental practice with David in Collingwood. She was in general practice in Collingwood for over 20 years and then joined David in Ivanhoe.Â
Lynette is enthusiastic about the importance of good oral hygiene and will always take the time to assist with instructions and highlight the need for thorough and careful cleaning techniques. She enjoys working at the surgery, spending time with her three children, farming, gardening, listening to podcasts and looking in on our latest hobby - bees.
We are conveniently located behind the Ivanhoe Shopping Village and a few doors down from Ivanhoe Primary School. The surgery is a short walk from Ivanhoe Girl’s Grammar and Ivanhoe Station. We see patients from surrounding suburbs such as Alphington, Fairfield, Thornbury, Eaglemont, Northcote and Heidelberg.
We are located next to Ella Goose and our entry is from the Denny Street carpark. The Benalla surgery operates one week each month and at other times we can assist you from our Ivanhoe rooms. We regularly see patients from surrounding regions including Wangaratta, Mansfield, Euroa, Myrtleford and Bright.
